Becoming a mother changed you. It didn’t come with a map to who you are now.
You can't lead from a place you don't know exists. Before you can mother, partner, lead, or make a decision that's actually yours — you have to know your own values, your own signals, your own capacity. These are the offerings for the moments that tend to break that open.
Not a better mother. Yourself.
Something shifted when you became a mother — not just your schedule, your identity. And it doesn’t stay contained to the nursery or the school pickup line. It shows up in how you show up at work, how you show up with your partner, how much of yourself you can access when you’re not actively parenting.
You’re not looking for help being a better mother. You’re looking for yourself, and motherhood is the thing that made her disappear, or made her unrecognizable, or made you realize you never fully knew her to begin with.

Book a Chemistry Call →Identity first. Everything else follows.
This isn’t parenting coaching. We’re not troubleshooting bedtime or tantrums. The work is figuring out who you are — your values, your instincts, what’s true about you independent of any role — with motherhood as one part of that inquiry, not the whole of it.
What comes out of that tends to change everything: how you parent, yes, but also how you work, how you partner, how you take up space.
The logistics
Sessions are twice-monthly, 60 minutes, over Zoom, with async support by email or text in between. We build a rough roadmap early on, and once our work together concludes, I compile it into a field guide that’s yours to keep. Sessions don’t expire — anything banked just carries forward. No cancellation fees, no late fees, no penalty for rescheduling last-minute. This coaching space is a supportive, compassionate, spacious container for your growth, not one more thing on your calendar you have to perform punctuality for.
The short version
Think of it like a car. You’re driving — you decide where we go, when to turn, when to speed up or slow down or stop or even go back for a while. I’m in the passenger seat with the map. I might suggest we go left instead of right, or ease off the gas. We check the rearview mirror sometimes, because your history holds real information, but most of the journey is spent looking in the windshield, not the rearview mirror. Coaching facilitates growth the way an architect builds something new on an existing foundation. Most of what’s true about you is still there; we’re building on it, not digging it up.
No fixed curriculum
Every client’s journey is unique, and uniquely their own — I don’t run a fixed program or a single curriculum. Some models I find myself reaching for often: the Drama Triangle, the Bridges Transition Model, Internal Family Systems–informed work, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, the GROW model, and Co-Active coaching principles. Which ones show up, and how much, depends entirely on what’s actually true for you.
Why I do this work
I’m Coral Edwards, founder of IMHMO and an ICF-credentialed, evidence-based, trauma-informed coach. Matrescence broke me open. I came back from my first baby feeling completely unrecognizable to myself — exhausted, flattened, invisible, holding all the external markers of success while quietly unraveling on the inside. That unraveling became the foundation for how I coach now: not bounce-back, not “having it all,” but real reconstruction, using models that actually hold weight.
This offering exists because of my own matrescence — if you’re in it right now, however many years in, whatever it looks like for you, know that your experience is real, it’s valid, and you’re not alone. Through our work together, you can find clarity, (re-)establish your values, and take meaningful steps toward a more aligned, fulfilled version of yourself.
If this is closer to what you’re looking for, a chemistry call is a low-pressure way to find out.
