I help people and organizations grow.

Coaching, courses, consulting — and a few hundred squats on Thursday afternoons.

Growth looks different depending on where you're standing. Sometimes it's a mother relearning who she is after leave. Sometimes it's a physician department trying to keep good people from burning out. Sometimes it's a founder who needs a marketing function that doesn't exist yet. I've built a few different ways to work with me, matched to wherever you're starting from.

Root & Rise Strategies

Coaching for Physicians & Physician Leaders

1:1 coaching, institutional cohorts, and facilitated workshops for medicine's high performers. Grounded, evidence-based, and built on quantified results. Root & Rise started with a front-row seat to the decade-long journey of being a physician-scientist at a top academic hospital, a few kismet physician-mom clients, and the realization that my coaching practice was moving more than my clients. It was reshaping the divisions they worked in too.

The person behind all of it

After finally putting my soccer cleats away for good following four ACL tears, I spent a few years working around the world: studying in Norway, nannying in Australia, getting my master's in international marketing and brand management at Lund (thesis on the branding identity of two sports-centered cities, some habits die hard), and running a summer school in Ghana. Then I settled down and spent the next decade building growth and marketing functions for companies that weren't mine. While I loved helping companies grow, motherhood cracked that identity open in ways no case study prepared me for, a matrescence I didn't have language for until I was already in the middle of it. After picking up the pieces of my broken identity and realizing my heart's yearning for coaching, I went back to school, became an evidence-based coach, got ICF-credentialed (recently earned my PCC certification, woo!), and built IMHMO, and then Root & Rise, out of it.

I'm now in my self-proclaimed renaissance era, and am loving my 40s more than I could have imagined. Doing the heart-work — coaching, facilitating, helping people and teams grow — made room for something my 24-year-old self wanted: getting certified to teach BodyPump. I found the class nearly 20 years ago while nannying in Melbourne, and I've been doing it on and off ever since. Today, alongside co-founding ThriveCycle, growing IMHMO and Root & Rise Strategies, and keeping my marketing chops sharp by helping a select few values-aligned companies grow, I'm also raising two kids and helping a growing group of strong-as-hell women build muscle at BodyPump on Thursday afternoons.

Growth is the through-line, whichever room I'm standing in.
